Tree Felling and Removal

Dead, damaged or simply in the wrong place? Our trained crew takes trees down safely, clears everything away and leaves your property tidy.

Get It Down Safely

What Is Tree Felling?

Tree felling means safely cutting a tree down. It sounds simple, but a tree coming down in the wrong place can damage a roof, wall, car or power line, so it takes planning, the right equipment and trained people.

In open ground a tree can sometimes be cut and dropped in one go. Where space is tight, such as between a house and a wall, our climbers take it down in sections from the top. Either way, we work out the safest method first and explain it to you.

Is It Time?

When Does a Tree Need to Come Down?

A Dead or Dying Tree

Dead trees become brittle and can drop branches or fall without warning.

Storm or Wind Damage

Split, leaning or partly fallen trees are dangerous to leave standing.

Too Close to the House

Roots and branches can damage walls, roofs, gutters and pipes.

Near Power Lines

Branches near power lines are a hazard. Never cut these yourself.

Building or Landscaping Plans

Clear the space for an extension, paving, a pool or a new garden.

Unwanted or Alien Trees

Fast-spreading trees can crowd out your garden and cause problems for neighbours.

Our Process

How Our Tree Felling Works

Free Assessment

We look at the tree, the space around it and anything it could land on, then give you a clear quote.

Plan and Make Safe

We choose how the tree will come down and set up a safe work area, with care around buildings, walls and power lines.

Felling

Our trained climbers take the tree down, in sections from the top where space is tight.

Cut Up and Clear

Branches and logs are cut up and cleared away. We recycle our waste into wood chip and firewood.

Stump and Tidy-Up

We can grind the stump out too, or leave it at ground level. Either way, we leave the site tidy.

Good to Know

Felling, Removal or Trimming?

These words get mixed up a lot. Here is what each one means, so you can tell us exactly what you need.

Tree Felling

Cutting the whole tree down. This usually leaves a stump at ground level.

Tree Removal

Felling, plus clearing everything away: branches, logs and, if you want it, the stump.

Tree Trimming

Cutting back branches or the top so the tree stays standing. Good for tidying up, letting in light and reducing risk.
